In this weeks podcast, I featured some of my favourites from the new Zed Bias album titled “Biasonic Hotsauce – Birth Of The Nanocloud” on Tru-Thoughts records… One thing that got my instant attention is the number of collaborations… Zed Bias has worked with so many talented producers in the making of this album; collaborators include the likes of Marc De Clive Lowe, Toddla – T, Mark Pritchard, Falty DL and Skream… additionally some impressive vocals and MC [ing] from the likes of Jenna G and Dynamite MC…
I think this album is a good starting point if you want to start exploring the UK bass music scene; dubstep, broken beat, 2step, garage, raga… you definitely get a taste of each and every one of these genres as you go through the tracks… in my opinion the album is very three dimensional, and it doesn’t necessarily focus only on the dance floor, thanks to some of the collaborators, it features some intellectually challenging, jazz and funk influenced deeper tracks as well…
